To pay for your monthly DStv subscription using Mpesa you basically need two things. They include Multichoice’s paybill number (444900) and your smartcard number (account number). 

The following steps constitute how to pay for DStv via Mpesa in Kenya:

1. Go to your Mpesa Menu

2. Select Lipa na Mpesa

3. Select Paybill

4. Type in 444900 as the business number

5. Type in your DStv SmartCard number as the account number

6. Type in the amount you want to repay

7. Type in your Mpesa pin and press OK

8. You’ll get a transaction confirmation SMS from Mpesa and Multichoice.
